As Principal-in-Charge of Joseph & Joseph’s architectural design, Merrill Moter is responsible for overall management of various projects from award of a commission until completion of construction. He is directly responsible for projects with construction costs of more than $100,000,000. Merrill has extensive experience with new construction, as well as renovation and expansion projects. He has earned a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional certificate, and he was the first architect in Kentucky to become an Accredited Green Roof Professional.

Merrill began his career at Joseph & Joseph in 1972 as an apprentice architect and became Principal in 1982.

Community Involvement
Merrill has served as Chairman of the Board of Boys and Girls Haven and the Jefferson Alcohol & Drug Abuse Center and President of the Louisville Jaycees, as well as serving on the boards of the Masonic Home, Seven Counties Services, Easter Seal Society and Louisville Chamber of Commerce.
