Distillery Architecture

More than 100 years ago Joseph & Joseph Architects started creating significant distillery buildings in the bourbon and whiskey industry, including some of the most well-known names in the industry – Four Roses, Stitzel-Weller, Early Times, Brown-Forman, Michter’s, Seagram, Willet and Angel’s Envy.  Our portfolio of work includes complete distillery campuses for large batch production to small-batch craft production micro-distilleries in urban and rural facilities.  Many of the distilleries on our docket also include visitor experience, retail operations, tasting bars and event spaces.

Our experience in the distillery industry allows us to navigate the complex fire and safety codes for these projects.  Our team designs to conform to the applicable codes including International Building and Fire Code, International Mechanical and Electrical Codes, DISCUS Standards, NFPA and others.  We work with you and your team to meet these requirements to create a safe environment that is attractive and efficient.
