Green Strategies
For 100 years, Joseph & Joseph Architects has been designing buildings that make the most of their surrounding environments. These design strategies pre-date terms like “sustainable” or “green”. They began 100 years ago as good designs that took advantage of environmental factors to make buildings more comfortable and more economical to build and maintain.
Our overall design technique is to use specific sustainable design strategies that are most relevant to the site and building type. We concentrate on incorporating these strategies into the framework of the design -- creating sustainable designs that do not need constant maintenance or add expense to the construction. By combining thoughtful configuration of spaces and building elements, our designs improve the quality of life and minimize each building’s impact on the earth.
The links above are a few examples of the sustainable strategies we have recently incorporated in our designs. |
