The Bardstown Bourbon Company D2 Distillery expansion was a multiphased, 28 million dollar expansion that included 15,000-square-foot of expanded building.  This allowed for the addition of 16 new fermenters attached to the original distillery and expansion of the old fermenter house to include a new distillation column, hot water processing tank, grain handling equipment, chemical treatments, and still tower.  The building was designed to be a continuation of the aesthetic and feel of the original distillery with the main façade facing Bluegrass Parkway.  Limestone panels, stained wood siding, and glass clad the structure.
