Addressing the need to connect the theatre and lobbies to the conference center, upper levels, and kitchen and restroom support spaces in the Brown Theatre buildings this lighted, three-story glass and steel lobby with elevator provides a signature backstage entrance. The exterior stair and bridge to the garage give a sense of arrival to the backstage. The plaza, with new paving, lighting and theatre signage re-invents the alley as a pedestrian-friendly space that still serves as a functional delivery and stage load-in area when needed.
